Join the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) on September 30th in their 10th Annual Blood, Sweat & Tears Charity Bike Ride.
Founded in 1949, LLS is the world’s largest voluntary health agency devoted to blood cancer research. With chapters throughout the U.S. and Canada, LLS focuses on curing leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma as well as improving the quality of life for current patients and their families. This cycle event raises funds for LLS to continue to further lifesaving blood cancer research and provide free services to patients. Participants even receive personal fundraising pages to raise additional funds for the cause.
Biking distances range from 5 miles (Family Fun Ride) to 100 miles (Century), with 20 mile, 45 mile and 62 mile rides available as well through low-traffic, scenic roads of flat to rolling terrain. Participants meet at the Highland Park Metra Station (1700 St. John’s Ave., Highland Park) at 7:00 a.m. to begin the ride. Register today to save a life!
