Tanzania Shipping Party this Saturday, November 7 at 10AM.

This Saturday, Working Bikes will be loading a shipping container of bicycles heading out to the Vijana Vocational Center in Arusah Tanzania, a project of our partners at the Global Alliance for Africa. Check out their organization here: http://www.globalallianceafrica.org/home, and come join us Saturday morning for a party with a real purpose. Who knows, you may end up in a picture posted on the WB blog.

After the Party

Many thanks to everyone who came out for the Working Bikes 10th anniversary gala. If you stayed late, you enjoyed riding in the midget bicycle peloton. If you had to leave early, you may have had to walk your bicycle home because your lovely ride may have had one too many shots of T.R.'s outstanding dumpster Crown Royal, anno 1965.

Raul was kind enough to forward a link to the Picasa album of Manoj Paul's terrific pictures from the party. Some of his photos appear below, along with my lesser efforts, but a larger sampling of his pictures can be seen here:

Manoj claims to have taken no fewer than 183 pictures at the party (he was running around with the nice DSLR), and more of his photos should surface in future postings.

Congratulations to Lee and Amy and everyone at Working Bikes.
